Review This Restaurant
Bangkok 101 in Dublin is a great Thai restaurant. The portions are good sized, the ingredients fresh and tasty. Both the red and yellow curries are very good, with just the right amount of spice. The Pra Ram (Peanut sauce) is also good, as is the Pad Thai and the Tom Ka soup. The prices are also very reasonable with most dishes being in the $10 range. The place is small, but seating doesnt seem to be an issue as it seems most people order to go. Bangkok 101 is definitely worth trying.

Picked some food up to go tonight and have to say I was pretty dissapointed in this restaurant for the 1st time. We ordered the pad thai, which was just not full of its usual flavor, the pra rahm chicken which barely had any peanut sauce, the red curry, which was good as usual and the crispy shrimp wanton appetizers. These were terrible, right down to the fact that they kept the tails on so you had to tear it open to get to the tiny overcooked shrimp to remove the tail. I'm guessing the fact that its a Sunday and the day before Memorial day they didn't have their top cooks working so I will definitely be back.
Picked up some more take out from Bangkok 101 Thai the other night and they were back to their typical good form. I had an order of the Spaghetti Kee Mao ($10.95) which were Thai spaghetti noodles with an assortment of tasty seafood and chiles, with some basil and was very good. Also had an order of the Yellow curry with chicken ($9.95). The flavor was really good, but it was just potatoes and the chicken so a little bland. I will stick with the Red Curry next time. Also had a cup of the Tom Kha soup ($4.75) which was awesome. Lastly were the potstickers ($6.50) which come either crispy or steamed. I prefer steamed and they were quite good.
Went back last night and got the Pad Thai, which was great as always as well as the Red Curry with chicken which was also excellent as always, and definitely my favorite curry there. We also tried the Sweet and Sour Fish ($13.95) which was excellent. A nice portion of boneless I think cod with some tasty sweet and sour sauce, as well as the usual vegetables you see which Sweet and Sour and just all together tasty.
Picked up some dinner tonight. We tried (forget what it was called, but cost $13.50) a mixed seafood dish that included calamari, mussells, scallop and shrimp. It was ok but not something Id get again. We also tried the crispy duck ($13.95) which was also not something Id get again. It was basically just fried duck with you choice of sauces, a spicy lime or plum sauce of which I preferred the plum. Red curry and pad thai were good as always.
